Core Values

We know music is more than just playing notes: it’s a powerful tool for connection. We want to use our music to create a healthy, vibrant community.

Our studio members engage with each other by playing music, then take these experiences and engage with their family and friends. Our community focus is not only a priority in our teaching, but also in our practices as a local Boise business. Read on to learn how we put this priority into action!

Our Values in Action

Supporting Community-Focused Nonprofits

We donate profits, time, goods, and services to local nonprofits that build healthy communities. We choose nonprofits within a two-mile radius of our studio so our donations can have maximum impact on our immediate community.

We look for three categories when we decide who to support: Music, Mental and Physical Health, and Connected Communities.

Music

We support Serenata Orchestra, Boise Hive, and Radio Boise as they focus on making music accessible to our community.

Mental & Physical Health

We love the Boise Acupuncture Cooperative because of their mission to provide affordable healthcare by creating an empowering space for people to heal with their community.

Connected Communities

We support the Boise Bicycle Project as they promote the personal, social and environmental benefits of bicycling which helps strengthen our community.

Championing Women-Owned Businesses

Once upon a time, the vision for Campfire Music Collective, a studio where we invite members into our home studio to make music together with our family, was just a twinkle in Angie’s eye. Marcus trusted Angie’s vision and let her take the reins and make this vision a reality, and we’ve happily taught together full-time since 2016.

Female-Founded

As a female-founded small business, we understand the unique challenges that entrepreneurs, especially women, face every day.

Partnerships with Women-Owned Businesses

We prioritize partnerships with other local, women-owned businesses to help create a thriving, balanced Boise business community.

Adopting Environmentally Sustainable Practices

One of the reasons we choose to operate a home studio instead of a separate location is to reduce our environmental impact. We feel lucky to be able create a live/work space and invest in sustainable practices for our home and business. Here are some of the ways we create healthy communities through our environmental awareness.

Bicycle Friendly Business

We provide lifetime free “safety tune-ups” for our studio members and alumni to support healthy, active transportation. We also provide bike racks and showers. We participate in programs like May in Motion and ride our bicycles or take the bus to as many meetings and events as we can.

Studio Sustainability

We use drought-tolerant landscaping full of native plants to help save water and bring pollinators to our neighborhood. We participate in a plastic offset program and recycle whenever possible. We always choose the more environmentally friendly product and shoot for US-made, energy-efficient choices.

Online Lesson Options

While we love seeing our members in person, we also provide an option to “telecommute.” This is not only a convenient option for many folks, but it has the bonus of reducing CO2 emissions from gas-powered transportation!
